GRAZIANO RICCARDI (1997) Composer and Composition Professor.
Graduated in Piano at the “U. Giordano” Conservatory of Foggia with Alessandro Deljavan. He first obtained the Bachelor in Composition at the “E. R. Duni” Conservatory in Matera and then the Master in Composition at the “N. Rota” Conservatory in Monopoli with Federico Gardella and Riccardo Panfili with full marks. He graduated in Composition at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia Rome where he studied first with Ivan Fedele and then with Alessandro Solbiati.
Particularly important for his training were the meetings with Francesco Filidei, as well as those with Salvatore Sciarrino, Zygmunt Krauze, Luca Cori, Marco di Bari, Juste Janulyte, Mauro Lanza, Biagio Putignano, Ada Gentile, Fabien Lévy, Oscar Bianchi and Juri Seo.
Assistant (2021-2022) to Jan Müller-Wieland in the composition class of the “Hochschule für Musik und Theater” in Munich, Germany. In April 2023 he curated a Conference at the Conservatorio Superior de Mùsica “Joaquin Rodrigo” de Valencia in Spain and in August of the same year he held a Masterclass in Composition at ECAV in Mexico City, Mexico. In October 2025 he cureted a Seminar at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He was a Composition Professor at the “Maderna-Lettimi” State Conservatory in Cesena, and Conservatorio di Musica “Antonio Buzzolla” in Adria.
He is the winner of various composition competitions, in particular of: I prize in the IV edition of the “Giuseppe Alberghini Prize” (2019); finalist in the XV edition of the National Arts Award (2021); I prize of the first edition “Euregio Klassika-The ways of water” (2022); he was a finalist in the second edition (2023) in the “Luciano Berio” International Composition Competition; I prize of the XIV edition (2023) of the “Città di Udine” International Composition Competition; (2023) special prize in the III edition of the “Ise-Shima International Composition Competition” in Japan; II prize of the 5th International Composers’ Competition “New Music Generation” (2023) in Kazakhstan; I Call for Score award “Le Note Ritrovate” (2023); I prize of the XXV edition of the “Franco Evangelisti” International Composition Competition (2023) – Nuova Consonanza; Special Mention of the Jury in the XXX edition (2024) of the International Composition Competition “2 Agosto” in Bologna; I prize of the VII edition of the “Francesco Agnello” (2025).
His music has been performed in Europe and Latin America by musicians such as Alessandro Deljavan, Amedeo Cicchese, Jorge Juarez Alvarez, Baltazar Chavarria, Filippo Mazzoli, Denis Zardi, Emanuele Delucchi, Marina Boselli, Michele Fontana, Giovanna Virgin, Jacopo Petrucci, Sara Mazzarotto, Michele Di Modugno, and others. He has also collaborated with the Indaco Quartet, Eccetera Saxophone, Divertimento Ensemble (conducted by Sandro Gorli), Spółdzielnia Muzyczna Contemporary Ensemble, Ensemble Zenit (conducted by Massimo Testa), Torino String Ensemble, Arrigoni String Orchestra, Ensemble del Novecento (conducted by Pasquale Corrado), Ensemble Cepromusic (conducted by Jesé Luis Castillo), GAMO Ensemble (conducted by Francesco Gesualdi) and many others.
